camping!!!

We went up camping with the Clarks, and 2 other families on Friday night through today in Sedona. We had a BLAST!!!
We got in pretty late Friday night, so we went right to bed. Even though me and Bentley had planned to stay up ALL night long! That didn't work out (seems like that ALWAYS happens to me!).
Saturday, we slept in (yay) then went to Slide Rock. I was not informed that we were going here, so right before we left when I was asked if I had my swimming suit, I assumed we were going to some lake or something that I wouldn't necessarily enjoy swimming in, so I did not have my swimming suit. Me and Bentley just sat around waiting/starving for a while. We kept waiting until everyone would come wanting lunch, but they never came--so we looked for them. Found em cliff jumping. We sat and watched for a little while, then convinced everyone they were hungry too. FINALLY they came to eat. I had to jump over the "river" thing to where our food was being eaten at. I took off my flip-flops, jumped, landed in water on a rock, and slipped. I now have bruises on my upper leg, knee, and foot. Its quite a beautiful battle wound. I actually quite enjoy it. Somehow, me and Bentley are the ones in most pain/injuries and we didn't even get IN the water! Imagine if we did!! Hahaha. Anyways, after we ate, we sat there for a while again, then finally went back to the campsite. There we played cards--Scum and Mafia. Those are 2 of the most fun card games in the whole entire world. Very hilarious! :) Bentley and I re-planned to stay up all night, and ended up going to bed at like midnight.
This morning, Bentley and I decided to tell everyone we went to bed at 5. *5 past midnight!* but we"accidentally" left the *past midnight* part out. OOPS! :) We got Porter to believe us, and besides our parents, he's the only one that we even told. YES!! :) Since it was Sunday, we all got together and had a little devotional, so have SOME spiritual something for the sabbath. It was a good insight on being prepared/ten virgins/and loving everything God gave us. Then we played more Scum, then went home. :)
This was a SUPER FUN camping trip! We made lots of inside jokes!
One of the boys we were with was 13, but looked like 10, so Porter called him an elf. Garrett has a friend that is super short, born on Christmas, and has pointy-ish ears, so Porter calls him an elf too. Porter goes up to this kid (Mitchel) and says "Hey! Garrett's friend is an elf, do you know him?" Bentley and I thought this was so funny! Porter also has this..um....I don't know... feeling (?) that we all LOVE hearing him try to regurgitate. It is the nastiest noise I have EVER heard!! So pretty much all Porter did the whole time was call this kid an elf, regurgitate, talk about platypuses, and give people nick-names. He is one funny kid :) I love my brother! ;)
