And I was led by the spirit, not knowing beforehand the things which I should do
I have always really liked this scripture, but today it really got me thinking. There's been a lot going on lately that I feel just really unguided, and I feel like I NEED this guidance! School has been really stressing me out, and honestly, taking up a lot of my time and priorities (which I don't like...). I went to the temple on Thursday with Bryndee (which was amazing.. very much needed..and now a Thursday tradition!) and just felt so much peace. I had been meaning to go the last few weeks, but like I said, school took priority. So this trip was much overdue. The peace that overcame me, was more than I could have imagined. I entered the temple, feeling still a little stressed and anxious, sat during the session, and felt the same. Then entered the Celestial Room...and wow. Peace. Isn't it great how that works? You set your priorities right, do what you're supposed to do, and feel this guidance.
So now, back to this scripture.
I feel like I am going blind into a lot of things right now. What should I do with this? What about that? For those that really know me, understand that I really like a sure plan and know what is going on. So these kind of things really stress me out.
But this scripture helped me see, that even Nephi, this successful hero, didn't know what to do. He had pure trust in God. He was willing to do whatsoever was asked of him. He didn't doubt. He just did. Wow.
We had Stake Conference this weekend, and I gotta say, it was inspired. I went to the YSA adult session, and it was beautiful. Every talk (EVERY) pertained to me and things I've been wanting to change or do with my life. It was extra reminder/commitment/reason for me to do these things. I just didn't have that push. I didn't have that plan.
But you don't always need a plan.
New Plan: Trust in God.
God will never let you do anything wrong, without first warning you.
So that's my new goal. Just go with it. Go, being guided with the Spirit, and that should be enough.
