In the morning, my school did a LipDub thing. We had a video tour around the school with all the clubs/sports having a line or 2 to Katy Perry's Firework. I must admit, it was pretty cool. I was with Top 20, Stuco, and NHS--I skipped Link Crew for lack of time to run around ;) Top 20 was first, then I ran outside onto the stairs to Stuco, then down to NHS. It was great ;)
Then I just kept remembering everything great about next week: last week of school EVER, our lunch party we're throwing on Monday, senior speech night, choir banquet, spirit week, senior awards ceremony, get my cap and gown... :D it'll be GREAT!
Then we hung up posters for the spirit days at lunch, and got many compliments on how cool they looked ;) Good job, AMANDA!! :D
In seminary, we talked about the law/government and the church's stance from D&C 134. We mentioned that even though your dealings and confessions with the Bishop are confidential, if it's anything illegal, he has to turn it in. In English, we are doing these "mock job interviews" and I think it was a great idea! We picked an occupation, did a resume, and had the interview. The whole classroom was in a horseshoe shape, and the interviewee was at the open end--with everyone else circling them. Kinda weird, and scary, but good practice for sure. Today, I went. The job I picked is what I really want to do in the future: Family Relations Counselor. The last question I was asked was about if someone tells me to keep it confidential that their parent was abusive what would I do. AND, right pops in my head that it is the LAW to report it (YAY SEMINARY!) I had really JUST learned that (well, re-learned kinda I guess) an hour earlier! Everyone said I did good and that they could tell I really wanted that job and that I would be a good person to have it. Which made me happy ;)
Tonight was the Father's and Sons Camp Out. So, with all the boys gone, Lexine, Bentley, Maizey, and I went to Costa Vida for dinner, then got ice cream at Walmart so we could make shakes. We watched Harry Potter too :) We got home, and I went upstairs to clean my room. Turns out, I was really tired and fell asleep in my bed :) I decided to sleep for just a few minutes, but it turns out it was like an hour and a half! Then I went down stairs, slept more, got the movie started, fell asleep again. And woke up another hour and a half later when they were making the shakes. So I got a 3 hour nap from approx 6-9. Which results that now I am not very tired, and it's 10:45. Eh oh well. It's the weekend. :D
