Roosters

Well, yes. The roosters were Conner's. Well, kinda. Here's the story...
I was texting Conner throughout the day, because he was the only one any of us could suspect. He knew/"guessed" there were 2 roosters before I knew how many there even were. He never once flat out said it wasn't him. And he kept saying they weren't his. Turns out, they weren't his, they were his uncles. His uncle owns this portable petting zoo thing, and the roosters weren't helpful to him anymore, so he didn't want them.
I get home from school, and a little while later, someone leaves a plate of brownies, rooster food, and a note. Along with a guest pass for Prom. The note said "this isn't an acceptance of guilt, but a friendly gesture." Yeah, sure. FINALLY he gave in to tell me it was him that brought the roosters, and that he would come back the next day to get them. This is when I thought I'd answer him with the said roosters.
But, turns out, the boys went and TPed the neighbors, AND put the roosters in their back yard. SO, telling them I need them back, they went and snuck into their back yard and got them back. :) We put them in a box, and I made a note saying "It'd be a fowl thing to chicken out. This chick is egg-cited to say YES!" put it on his porch, rang the doorbell, and left. HA!
No more rooster responsibilities for us ;)
