Play-In-A-Day

The best day of my life.
This was Saturday. We got to the church at 8am--the time it was supposed to start, but no one else got there until like 9 it seems like. We awkwardly stood around waiting for people to come, and kept getting in everyone's way. When we walked in, we saw our "secret BFF's" come in (we secretly would, "stalk?" them and laugh at them behind their back ;) ). Bentley and I both secretly hoped they would be in our group, and THEY WERE!! I kinda freaked out though when I found out they were, because I was afraid our laughing at them would get out of control. Turns out though, they must have wanted to be our BFF, because they kept talking to us all day.
We went over the script, we were the caveman era. I did NOT want to be the main character, but someone else told me I should. I thought it would be sorta fun, but I was just nervous, so I just signed up for it. And I got it. :P
The play was about a girl named Gem (ME!!) who is an outcast because her hair is to today's standards, NOT caveman ones. Everyone made fun of her for it. Except a guy named Stone, he liked something about her. There was a school dance and he brought her flowers, and had to awkwardly circle her singing "you're amazing, just the way you are". And may I add that the song seemed SO SUPER LONG. Yeah, strange. But it really was so much fun!!
A girl asked me if I was an 8th grader, because she didn't recognize me from school. But hey, I don't even GO to her school! Go figure.
We played games with paper cups, threw licorice and oranges at each other, played volleyball with a basketball, and played in the rain--all with our BFFs :D . Oh, and definitely watched our BFFs and like 10 other guys inhale about 200-300 helium balloons. It was very entertaining. Bentley has a 12 minute video of it, and it is pretty much hilarious.
We didn't get home until about 11, it was a long day, but it was the most fun I'd had in a long time!! I'll just say the hallway still smelled like oranges at the church yesterday, and a lot of the guys must have been high off helium. Twas interesting ;)
