STUCO Lock-in!

Today was sposta be a half-day
But I didn't have no half-day.
I had myself a LOCK-IN, a stuco stuco LOCK-IN

We had a "retreat" in the auditorium. We didn't go to any of school, and just had fun all day! :D We first played signs (the loud version--which was actually a lot funner than the quiet one). Then we played "Do you love your neighbor", and "baby if you love me, would you please please smile?" I found out some people are really...... intimate? seductive? flirtatious? THAT was interesting.
Then, we did some trust games. First, was the "close your eyes and your partner will lead you". Its such a weird feeling walking around with your eyes closed, I feel bad for blind people. Then, we did trust falls. We had 3-person groups, and we had them rock us back and forth, and we had to keep our feet still. That was hard. Then, we combined into groups of 6, and we rocked every which direction--that was hardER. And kinda scary. But the most scary part comes now. We had people line up hooking arms across each other making a table with their arms. They were kneeling on the ground. We were standing on a chair and had to fall onto their arms. SCARY!! Its not that I didn't trust everyone, I just don't especially like falling. :) Everyone did that one. NEXT, is even SCARIER!! The people knelt down on the ground, and we stood on the STAGE. We had to fall off the stage onto their arms!! AHHH!!! This probably sounds math-y nerdy, but its like a 90degree fall. Straight down. I did NOT want to do it, but Amanda and Briana did it, so I figured I might as well too. As I was falling, it felt like FOREVER, and I kept wondering when I was going to hit them! Right before I did, I grunted, scared I was falling :) tee hee.
We then played this identity game where a bunch of topics are said, and if you consider yourself that or associate yourself with that, then you go to the center.
Then we had pizza for lunch. YUMMY!
After, we went back in the auditorium, and played inside-out. One at a time, we had this bag. We told everyone what we thought we were on the outside. Then we turned it inside-out, and told how we really were on the inside. I was amazed at the things most people said--I would have NEVER thought they were going through that or felt that way. It was really touching and emotional.
It was an AMAZING day--our council got a lot closer to each other, and I can tell we all trust one another a lot more, which is a VERY good thing. I love Student Council that much more now! Its going to be a GREAT year!
