Childhood

For my Children's Literature class, we are required to read either 3 picture books or a short chapter book each week. I was also this week supposed to find 4 books that have the Caldecott Honor. SO, I went to the library before work today and was lookin' around the children's section. Aww, so many memories! Books like "If You Give A Pig A Pancake," "Junie B Jones," and "The Series Of Unfortunate Events" make me miss my childhood so bad! Back when life was easy. Back when my hardest homework was 30 math problems. Back when I was able to go to bed at my 'bedtime.'
But here I am now.. paying for school. working 36 hours a week, trying to manage the time, using every ounce of energy left in me to creatively get everything done as quickly as I can, prioritizing what matters most first, and trying to remember all I have to do.... Yikes.

But hey, maybe someday I'll look back to today and think "Man, wasn't that easy??"
