I always look forward to Sundays. It's a day I can set aside in my week to expect some time to relax and uplift. With such a busy school and work schedule (and having to work about every other Saturday) Sundays I rely on to get a break and take a breather :)
Church was AMAZING today too. My bishop got called into our new Stake Presidency last week, so right now he's working double duty. He spoke to us about change and that change is good and healthy. In his talk, he said something that stuck out to me; that every time there is change, it has always been for the better. Which is so true!! I always get so nervous with change and don't want it to come, but change is inevitable and always makes me a better person.
The other girl that spoke talked about priorities. Most people say God is their #1 priority, but yet they still would rather dress immodestly, do other things on Sundays, and so many more things. If God really was the top priority, we would devote all our time and energy to Him and serving Him.
Also, in Relief Society, we went over Holland's talk from this past conference, "We Are All Enlisted." We talked about the difference between a soldier and a warrior. Warriors are more passionate, know the cause, know what they are fighting for, and are fighting for what's right. It is impossible to be on both teams (Heavenly Father's and Satan's) so we must pick. Satan IS real, is fighting hard, but we must be warriors and fight harder for what we know to be true.
Sundays <3 I love them.
What Life Has Taught Me:
Embrace change, it's good! It makes me stronger and builds who I am. Everything is bound to change in some way or another, it's just a part of life. If I stop worrying about it, I can take so much more from the change.
I must figure out my true priorities, and shape my life around those things, and get rid of what distracts me from what I truly want in life.
